Trump

According to the Huffington Post, Donald Trump has won Super Tuesday’s Georgia Republican primary on March 1, 2016. He defeated Florida’s Senator Marco Rubio and Texas’ Ted Cruz. Georgia consists of 76 Republican delegates, which is the most delegates in all of Super Tuesday’s participating states.

Georgia’s Evangelical Christian community has supported Trump on immigration. According to the Huffington Post, recent surveys have concluded that voters in Georgia’s Republican primary have endorsed his proposal to ban Muslims in the United States. The Evangelical Christian community makes up over half of all GOP primary voters. Trump has scheduled a press conference for 9 p.m. EST that will be held at his Florida mansion.

In recent news, Trump and his rally officers allegedly ejected 30 black students from a rally held at Georgia’s Valdosta State University, on Feb. 29, 2016. Students reported that this was the closest act of discrimination they have seen on their campus.

The Public Slate will continue to provide information regarding Super Tuesday polling results and the GOP Presidential Election.
