Michelle Obama Endorsed Hillary Clinton at the 2016 DNC

Obama

Michelle Obama opened up the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on July 25, 2016, with a commanding speech.

Obama opened her speech thanking her husband and admiring her two daughters for becoming who they are today. She states that eight years ago she stood in front of a similar crowd asking the Democrats to vote for her husband to be president.

The first lady addressed the fact that eight years ago when Hillary Clinton ran for president and lost, she did not give up. Instead, she became Secretary of State. Obama feels that the people of the U.S. should elect Clinton and she offers her full support.

She did not mention Donald Trump by name, but she did reference the Republican nominee. “The Washington Post” reported the first lady said,  That it would be unsafe for a person to have access to the nuclear codes and the military under that person’s command when there is a crisis. It is important to maintain sensibility and refrain from making snap decisions.
